All the information you need

Our three teams play in Div 1, 2 & 4 in the Avon Netball League

We are looking for NEW players please get in touch email us at: or phone Harriet on tel: 07968 781 824

We are back to training on Wednesday 12 May at 7pm at Abbeywood School (outside courts)

…usually we train every Wednesday from 7-9pm at Fairfield High School Allfoxton Road, Horfield, Bristol. There is ample parking. Every fortnight we receive coaching our coach and all other training sessions are taken by an experienced member of the club.

Our matches are generally every other Saturday from September to April, venues depend on which division you play in but will be one of the following:

UWE (Frenchay)
Abbeywood Community School (Filton)
Sir Bernard Lovell (SBL) Academy (Oldland Common).

As a newcomer to the club we let you have the first two weeks free, to ensure that you have time to decide if you want to join us. You will then be required to pay £4.00 for the next four weeks, and then after this period we hope that you will set up a standing order like the rest of the club.

Your standing order will be for £20 per month all year round, to help spread the cost, and helps to pay league fees, court fees, equipment etc and also allows us to have a few pounds in the bank for unexpected costs!

Members selected to play are required to pay a one-off affiliation fee of £41.50. The only other cost for players is the match fee you’ll pay on a Saturday, which is £1 per quarter played. This fee is to cover the cost of the umpire and match day coaching.

If a player suffers a serious injury which results in them not being able to attend training or play matches for more than 1 month, they may temporarily cancel their Standing Order. As soon as the players is back at training the Standing Order must be back up and running.

If a player becomes pregnancy they can stop paying their subs. Once they start training again, their subs should start again.

Commitment and enthusiasm

Whilst we all play netball to improve our skills, keep fit and simply to socialise, we do all have a level of commitment – turning up to training on a regular basis and being available to play most matches. We understand that not all training sessions and matches can be made, but in order for us to survive as a club and hopefully win matches, we need a certain level of commitment and enthusiasm from you.

We try to organise club socials a couple of times a year, in addition to the annual Christmas party.
